City Blues - Dec. 14, 2007 CD Review
by Don Crow
"... forged a style all her own...Her
lines are distinct and fluid, with no wasted notes. This
CD is full of good-rockin' blues, too...smokin' guitar and
a honey-sweet voice, is just what the doctor ordered"

CD Review
Cures What Ails Ya by the Laurie Morvan Band "...it's
about time (the labels) took notice of this blazing singing/songwriting

JSI Top 21 – August 2007
by John Shelton Ivany
The John Shelton Ivany Top Twenty-One is published in over
200 national newspapers.
"This band is a ballsy, banging, top-class, blues act.
Laurie’s honey-thick, sultry voice is framed by the
sweet whine of her guitar. As soon as you pop in the CD
you find yourself lost somewhere in the Mid-West at a prominent
blues bar.
Her band is solid, playing flawlessly. It is obvious
that the band has a good relationship on and off the stage.
The sound is pristine, makes you feel like your feet away
from the stage. All I can say is that I want to see this
band live."

"This talented blues musician from
the Southland possesses the triple talents of singing,
songwriting and lead guitar playing. Pete Sardon coaxed
some fresh quotations from Laurie Morvan for our cover
story on a day where she had already been interviewed
by Guitar Player and Vintage Guitar magazines."

are about as Blues as baseball can get! When I was a kid
I used to run home from elementary school as quick as
I could to watch the Cubs games...
Q: Favorite Guitar?
A: My '56 Reissue Strat from the Fender Custom Shop. I
