Finalmente Laurie Morvan, carismática cantante y guitarrista que, en ningún momento, pierde su natural frescura y su inmenso atractivo, publica ahora su sexto álbum. Muchos dicen de ella que posee el feeling de Bonnie Raitt y el toque de guitarra de Stevie Ray Vaughan. Estaba previsto que el disco se publicara en 2014 pero una desgraciada fractura de su muñeca que necesitó varias operaciones quirúrgicas, dieron al traste con sus expectativas y proyectos, apartándola del 'show business' durante dos largos años. Es por ello que este álbum refleja toda la energía contenida durante esos años, junto a la emoción de volver a sentirse activa, con todo su potencial y unas ganas inmensas de estar nuevamente en acción. La voz y la magnífica guitarra de Laurie están perfectamente sostenidas y respaldadas por Mike Finigan al Hammond B3, Jim Pugh también al Hammond B-3, piano y wurlitzer, Barry Goldberg al piano, Bob Glaub al bajo y Tony Braunagel, quien también ha sido el productor de este proyecto, a la batería y percusión. Son un total de doce canciones compuestas por Laurie Morvan en las que muestra todo su increíble potencial a la guitarra, su interesante voz y su imaginativa puesta en escena. El álbum suena tremendamente robusto y formidable. Si todavía no la conocéis, Laurie Morvan es una artista a tener muy en cuenta. BUENISIMO.

Laurie Morvan is a charismatic singer and guitar player who never loses her natural freshness and her magnificent charisma that now publishes her sixth album. Many people say she has the feeling of Bonnie Raitt and the guitar tone of Stevie Ray Vaughan. Originally scheduled for 2014, the album was delayed when Laure suffered a wrist fracture that needed two surgeries, so she had to cancel all her projects and leave aside stages and show business for two long years. So the album is very special for her, as all the restrained energy she kept during those years, together with the excitement of her comeback with all her potential intact and a huge desire to be again in action, can be found along the whole recording. Laurie's voice and her superb guitar playing are perfectly supported by Mike Finigan on Hammond B3, Jim Pugh also on Hammond B-3, piano and wurlitzer, Barry Goldberg on piano, Bob Glaub on bass and Tony Braunagel, who has also produced the album, on drums and percussion. Twelve own Laurie Morvan's songs where she shows her unbelievable potential on guitar, her interesting voice and imaginative presence. The album sounds extremely robust and formidable. If you do not know Laurie Morvan, she is an artist to be taken into account. GREAT. |
