We all meet in the breakfast room in the morning and
everyone is in a little better spirits even though we
are still a little tired after our long drive yesterday.
We get going a little after 11 am and after getting lost
trying to find the on ramp to Interstate 80 we make a
pretty uneventful drive to Bud and Rita's. It will
be nice to relax, do some laundry, and visit with Laurie's
parents.
We arrive at Bud and Rita's around 5:30 pm, make
our hellos, and unload the van. Once we get settled in
we order pizza and relax while Laurie and Lisa catch up
on band business and correspondence. Donto spends most
of the evening fishing in the pond in back of the house
even though he is a delicacy to the mosquitoes.
Merch girl and Lisa jump right on the laundry and dispatch
our dirty unmentionables in short order. It is nice to
have a re-supply of clean clothing. A very relaxing evening,
I think, for everyone. Off to bed by 10 or 11 pm. We have
a gig in Pekin, Illinois tomorrow which is only 2 ½
hours away so I think we will be able to sleep in. Yay!
